Kale is a very healthy vegetable and a good source of vitamins A and C, and calcium. For this dish you will need 1 onion, 1 cup of cooking wine, and 2-3 good sized bunches of kale. It will serve 2-4 people. |
Total Preparation and/or Cooking Time: 9 Minutes |
Step 1: Get the kale and onion. Be sure the kale is well washed. |

Step 2: Add 1 cup of cooking wine to a sauté pan and set it to high heat. |

Step 3: While the pan is pre-heating slice the onion into thin strips(julian). |

Step 4: Add the onions to the pan and let them start cooking. |

Step 5: While the onions are simmering cut the kale into good sized pieces. |
|
Step 6: Add the kale to the onions and keep stirring it while it steams in the wine for 3 to 5 minutes. After that time you are done and have beautifully steamed crisp kale that would be perfect with brown rice, a squeeze of lemon, and glass of red wine. |
