Steamed Napa Cabbage is a tasty low calorie health food notable for being a good source of zinc, as well as vitamins A, C, and calcium. For this dish you will need Napa cabbage, one onion, and a little bit of vinegar which will really accentuate the flavor of the cabbage. |
Total Preparation and/or Cooking Time: 15 Minutes |
Step 1: Gather you ingredients, and make sure the Napa cabbage is well washed. Peel off the leaves if necessary. |

Step 2: Get a wok-style pot and add about a 1/4 cup of water to it, and set it on high heat. If you do not have a wok-style pot then a simple pot or saut� pan should do fine. |

Step 3: While the water is heating, peel the onion, cut it in half, and then cut it into thin strips. |

Step 4: While the onions are cooking, take the Napa cabbage and cut it into strips also. |

Step 5: Let the onions cook till they are slightly translucent before adding the Napa cabbage. |

Step 6: Once the onions are properly cooked you can add the cabbage to steam. It should only need to steam for about 3 to 5 minutes on high heat. Once the cabbage looks done, turn the heat off and then add 2 to 3 tablespoons of vinegar. Give everything a good stir. |

Step 7: You are now done, enjoy this dish beside brown rice, in flat bread, or with cracked bulgur wheat. |
