At MyFoodData, we believe in letting the data guide our insights. Our curated food lists are based on reliable data from the USDA Food Data Central Repository.

You can view the complete nutrition facts for any food by clicking the link at the bottom of each listing. Additionally, you can verify our data against the USDA by clicking the (Source) link provided in each food listing.

When selecting foods for our lists, we choose those that are commonly eaten and presented in typical serving sizes. We recognize that foods and portions can vary globally, and our nutrient ranking tool allows you to customize and compare foods according to your needs.

Our food list articles are expertly crafted by Daisy Whitbread, a fully qualified nutritionist with a Master's in Nutrition from King's College London. To ensure accuracy, all content is reviewed by medical doctors who are up-to-date with the latest research.

In addition to created curated food lists to help you make a better diet, we also create tools to analyze and compare foods, as well as calculate recipes, create day plans, and log foods.

Who works on MyFoodData?

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from North Carolina State University, and has experience as a data scientist for a health-care quality improvement company, where he contributed to the analysis of data for scientific studies. Paul is responsible for data analysis, programming, and maintaining the tools for MyFoodData.com. Paul is a health analyst who believes that many diseases can be prevented through proper nutrition and is passionate about empowering people with tools to organize and understand the foods they eat.

Daisy Whitbread, BSc (Hons), MSc, DipION, is a fully qualified nutritionist with specialized training in nutritional therapy. She earned her undergraduate degree in Anatomy and Physiology before completing a Master's in Nutrition at King's College London, one of the UK's top nutrition programs. Daisy further advanced her expertise by studying Nutritional Therapy for three years at the Institute of Optimum Nutrition in London. Her areas of specialization include weight management, meal planning, and enhancing energy levels.

Dr. Patricia Shelton, MD, is a full-time medical communicator and educator. She holds a Doctor of Medicine degree as well as a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, both from the renowned University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Shelton is dedicated to empowering people with the information they need to improve their health and well-being. In addition to her work as a medical writer and reviewer, Dr. Shelton also teaches anatomy and physiology at the college level, and is the author of The Yoga Doctor.

Dr. Kutner obtained his Medical Doctorate (M.D.) from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Prior to that he earned a Bachelors in Science (B.Sc) in Biology from Temple University. Dr. Kutner completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. His interests within Cardiovascular medicine include Preventative Cardiology, Lipidology, Cardiac Imaging, and Electrophysiology.

Dr. Nicolette Natale is a physician (D.O.) with 6+ years of experience in psychology and medical research. Dr Natale obtained her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from Nova Southeastern University. Prior to that she obtained her Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc), Medicine from State University of New York at Farmingdale. Dr Natale is passionate about using preventative medicine and holistic care to optimize her patients' health.

She has extensive experience in marketing and branding in ed tech and is passionate about learning more ways to live healthy while helping others achieve the same goal. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, and furthered her studies at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
